These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the website, its services, listings, messaging systems, subscriptions, and related platform functionality.
By accessing or using this platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. Platform Purpose
DesiRoomie is a community-oriented platform intended to help users:
- find rooms and accommodation
- connect with potential roommates
- communicate through listings and messaging
- manage housing-related interactions within Ireland
The platform acts solely as a technological intermediary service between users.
I am not:
- a property owner
- a landlord
- a real estate agent
- a housing broker
- a financial guarantor
- affiliated with properties or listings posted by users unless explicitly stated
Users are solely responsible for:
- verifying listings and users
- conducting their own due diligence
- their communications and agreements
- rental decisions and financial transactions
The platform does not guarantee the accuracy, safety, legitimacy, availability, or quality of listings, users, or interactions conducted through the service.
2. User Eligibility
By using this platform, users confirm that they:
- are at least 18 years old
- can legally enter agreements
- will provide accurate information
- will not use the platform for unlawful purposes
I reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms.
3. User Accounts
Users are responsible for:
- maintaining account security
- protecting login credentials
- all activity under their account
Users must not:
- impersonate others
- create fake accounts
- provide misleading information
- attempt unauthorized access to the platform
I may suspend or terminate accounts involved in:

- abuse
- scams
- harassment
- suspicious or fraudulent activity
4. Listings & User Content
Users are solely responsible for the content they post, including:
- room listings

- messages
- uploaded images
- descriptions and pricing information
Users must not post:
- fraudulent listings
- misleading information
- illegal content
- abusive or discriminatory content
- spam or promotional abuse
I reserve the right to:
- remove listings
- moderate content
- restrict visibility
- suspend accounts
without prior notice where necessary for its safety or policy enforcement.
5. Messaging & Communication
I may provide messaging and enquiry systems between users.
Users agree:
- to communicate respectfully
- not to harass or threaten others
- not to misuse platform messaging for spam or scams
For security and moderation purposes, I may access stored communication data where reasonably necessary to:
- investigate abuse
- prevent fraud
- enforce platform rules
- protect users and platform integrity
6. Privacy & Data
My handling of user information in the platform is governed by the its Privacy Policy.
By using the platform, users acknowledge that certain data may be collected and stored, including:

- attempts to harm the platform or its users
13. Intellectual Property
The platform’s branding, design, logos, interface elements, original code, text, graphics, and other content created or owned by me for use on the platform are protected by applicable intellectual property laws and may not be copied, reproduced, redistributed, modified, or commercially reused without prior written permission.
Users retain ownership of content they personally upload or submit to the platform. However, by uploading content, users grant the platform a limited, non-exclusive right to store, display, process, and use such content solely for the operation, moderation, security, and functionality of the service.
Users must not upload content that infringes the intellectual property or legal rights of others.
